In … Out … In … Out …

Many years ago when I was in college my roommate and I took a womens’ self defence course. One of the things we were taught was that upon attack we should take a deep breath before doing anything else. You see, humans when panicked tend to forget to breathe. But only with oxygen can our brains function properly and tell us the best course with which to proceed.

What feels good may not be the thing that does

Sorry about the convoluted title. Please bear with me and I’ll try to explain.

People often remark on me looking at least ten years younger than my chronological age. No, I do not have a great plastic surgeon. I probably have a bit of genetic luck and I don’t smoke which helps. Mainly though, I pay extreme attention to minimize the exposure of my skin to UV-rays. They are the main contributors to ugly wrinkles and even skin cancer.

Now don’t get me wrong. I am a sun child. The hotter and muggier it gets, the happier I am. Endless

Be a better person each day


In order to have a more beautiful life, we must become the best person we can possbily be. To some of us this is a daunting task. Their image of their ideal self is huge and perfect and not humanly attainable on this planet.

Stretch your soul!

Today, I had this absolutely incredible thing happening to me: Someone took care of me. I kid you not. Usually I am the strong one. In this case I had landed myself in a spot of trouble and a friend, a fairly new one at that, went to bat for me. When I thanked her, she told me, she would go to bat for me anytime and that she was glad she was able to help.
